The Peace Child

Last night we had our whole school production of The Peace Child.  Here's what the children wrote:

  • Molly: I was the leader of the elephants.  Room 8 and 9 we danced the Sotongi Strut.  My mum and my dad were proud.
  • Merion: I went to my sister Atita's production and I did my production.  I was a buffalo.  I felt shy.
  • Fatafehi: In the production it was fun.  My dad was proud at the production.  At the production I felt happy.
  • Ilisapesi: It was fun.
  • Ehmarze: It was fun last night at the production.
  • Francis: I had fun last night.
  • Abdifatah: I went to the production last night.  It was fun.
  • Tiara: I was a little nervous and it was a little fun.  I was standing still when it was finished.
  • Kapi: It was funny at the production.  My family was proud.  I was great.  It was night.  There were 100 people.  It was cool so many people came.

Hands on

Today we replenished our play dough supply.  We recently found a fabulous cooked play dough recipe that we have been using.  The children help to cook it and love adding the dye!

Tongan Language Week

Look at the gorgeous Tongan children from our class getting ready to go to assembly.  Molly is wearing an outfit that her mum used to wear when she was little!  So special to be able to share the amazing cultures and traditions of the children in our school.
